The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, in partnership with WWOZ, are hosting a Community Day of Service where volunteers will help gut houses for victims of the recent floods in the Baton Rouge area.
The volunteer day will take place on Saturday, September 24 beginning at 7 a.m. Also helping with the day of service is the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana and St. Anna’s Episcopal Church in New Orleans.
Saturday morning, volunteers will meet at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Canal Street, then travel to the work sites, which are located in the Denham Springs area and in West Feliciana Parish. Work crews will be on the job from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
