When the Algiers Point Association hosts its 43rd annual home tour this weekend, the historic area’s fine architecture will be on display.
From cottages to grand residences to shotguns, a half-dozen private dwellings will be open for viewing from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Four houses of worship have played an important role in Point history.
The oldest of the group is Mount Olivet Episcopal, founded in 1846 and built in 1854.
