When St. Francis was founded in 1952, a plan was made to build a sanctuary on the 5-acre campus. Until then, the church would worship in a building originally designed to be a parish hall. Decades past away without this plan becoming a reality.
When the Great Flood of 2016 severely damaged all the buildings, the parishioners along with the Rev. Mark Holland, who was serving as the interim priest at the time, began to talk about what it meant to rebuild a church that would serve the needs of the community going into the future. The dream of the new sanctuary came alive again. On April 22, 2018, they broke ground on this dream.
We look forward to worshiping with the people of St. Francis in their new sanctuary later this year.
