We were joined by Ms. Mary Munger, LCSW. She passed along helpful information regarding stress, anxiety and coping. A copy of her presentation can be found here. I hope that the questions at the end of the presentation are helpful and may provide some framework for future conversations. This information can also be found on our website.
A question arose around resources for online giving. Karen has compiled a list for you which can be found here.
We also discussed how we begin to consider gradual re-entry around social distancing guidelines. This is related to both worship and other church gatherings. I am meeting with the Deans tomorrow to begin this conversation and will report back to you next week. In addition, over the next few weeks, we will send out a survey to begin to gain a picture of where congregations and other diocesan entities are related to finances, the PPP, etc.
If your congregation has not applied for the PPP (or was denied in the last round) we strongly recommend that you complete this application as soon as possible if you wish to do so. As you may have heard, congress has approved additional funds for this program. We are happy to help if you have any questions. A list of resources are also found on our website.
