St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, 3412 Haring Road in Metairie, is among churches trying a new and innovative way to serve the community.
In August, church volunteers constructed St. Augustine’s Community Garden, which is being made available to people in the community to rent plots and grow their own vegetables.
