I am delighted to announce that the Rev. Katherine Sharp McLean has accepted our call to be Associate Rector. Kit comes from Hammond, and has many friends and kin here in New Orleans. Answering God’s call to ordained ministry later in life, she received her Master of Divinity from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and was ordained by Bishop Thompson in April of 2013. She has been serving at St. Michael and St. George’s in St. Louis, Missouri. We are delighted to welcome her home.
She will have primary responsibility for Christian Formation and Education, coordinating all our formation programs and planning. She will be working to bring all the Children’s, Youth, Young Adults and Adult programs together. We have a tradition of excellence in our offerings, and I am confident Kit will strengthen these programs. She will be begin work on March 16, 2015.
